About the show

Perspective changes the conversation.

A familiar moment. Clear research. One adjustment you can try tonight.

01

What this is.

Finally Understood is a weekly letter and podcast for couples with kids, hosted by Tony Galente. Each week takes one moment every couple knows: the 7pm blow up, the silent car ride, the argument about an attitude that was never an attitude. Then it translates what PhD level research on brains, stress, and communication actually says about it, in plain kitchen table language.

02

How it works.

Small adjustments, engineered like a coach would. Not willpower, not shame, not homework you will never do. One idea, one scene from a real kitchen, one adjustment to try tonight.

03

About Tony.

Tony studies behavioral science, including MIT's Neuroscience of Business, and has spent years watching where good couples actually break down. It is rarely love. It is load, timing, and two people translating each other wrong at the end of a long day. He is not a therapist. This is education, systems, and perspective.

The 7pm Check-In

What are you bringing into the conversation?

Five ordinary questions. About one minute. Leave with one sentence that could make tonight easier.
